About Me

I am an Interaction Designer at Microsoft working on music and entertainment apps for Windows 10. I have spent the last eight years gaining design experience on large and small product teams in New York City, San Francisco, and in the Northwest...but as a native New Yorker, I definitely have a favorite.

The interest and passion I have for creating great user experiences is rooted in my Design and Psychology background from Brigham Young University. The combination of my education and work experience gives me a unique approach to design problems and product development.

When I'm not working or with my family, I love biking the streets of Manhattan, discovering new music, researching the feasibility of the space elevator, watching independent film, waiting for the cascadia subduction zone to blow, and reading as much as I can.

Microsoft

Interaction Designers at Microsoft influence the entire design process including research, ideation, wireframes, final designs, and ensure the best experience is developed for the released product. My design work can be seen in the Windows 10 universal apps for Photos, Groove Music, Edge Reader, and Movies & TV. In 2015, I led the design for a hackathon project called OneNote Learning Tools which improves reading comprehension for students. Our team took 1st Place in the education category and the Grand Prize overall for Microsoft’s company-wide hackathon!
